Reflections - a fortnight in Africa

Two weeks in, and time for reflection…

The very observant among our regular readers will have noted that yesterday was the first time we missed posting our daily blog; partly because yesterday – Saturday – was disappointing and annoying in various petty ways, but mostly because we were both utterly exhausted. Getting up extra early every day and going to bed at our normal bedtime has taken its toll. Easy enough to rectify – in theory, at any rate.

Today however was much better, with a trip to Lilliesleaf Farm, the hideout of the ANC in the 1960s - an amazing chapter in the history of the fight against Apartheid in South Africa.

We do add features to the blogsite from time to time – eg a menu providing more inforamtion about the play, for those interested – as well as modifying past postings: eg discovering that Incy Wincy spider was called Platyoides Walteri… Honest.

Finally, for fans of the DCS choir, another snippet, recorded from our apartment last week. Enjoy.
