Freeze

It is amazing that we are now into the second week of March and the day that Viloshni Naidoo (Head of Performing Arts) went into hospital for her planned operation. Our thoughts and prayers are with her today.

Being a major rehearsal day, I decided to make the first attempt at persuading the cast to act as an ensemble, to create sound effects and, as in the video clip, frozen pictures. They show (or are meant to show) the father's fevered imaginings as to the fate of his sons, beset by tricksters or lured into debauchery.

Yet another exercise in controlled chaos, with at this stage, rather more chaos than control.

The idea is not yet fully formed, but the potential is certainly there.
